The 2nd Miami Open Championship will offer a Backgammon Boot Camp to master the cube and professional tournament play.
The Boot Camp will concentrate on mastering the doubling cube and delving into American tournament play. This Boot Camp is crafted for participants with a foundational understanding of backgammon gameplay. Despite their proficiency in checker play and familiarity with Tavla (a Middle-Eastern version of backgammon), many participants lack experience in utilizing the doubling cube or engaging in American local or national tournaments adhering to USBGF Rules. Catering to all ages, the program aims to elevate players’ skills and tackle the challenging realm of the doubling cube, a pivotal yet often overlooked aspect where many falter.
TBT – Traditional Backgammon Tour / NO-CUBE Main Event

Powered by the Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB), Players Cup Backgammon turns standalone BMAB events into an exciting annual circuit held at premier tournaments worldwide. Using eXtremeGammon to evaluate live, clocked matches, players earn mastership titles and proficiency certificates based on their calculated error rates.
At each event, participants collect circuit stars for placement, wins, and participation fueling a fierce competition throughout the year. The top three leaders will be celebrated with prestigious trophies, while any sole event winner earns the coveted Iron Legacy Star, a mark of lifetime achievement.
Transparency and growth are key: every match is recorded, transcribed, and shared online, with players receiving their match files to study and improve. All performances count toward the World Backgammon Ranking, giving players global recognition.
